UWANFC are pleased to offer all junior goalkeepers (12-16's) the opportunity to receive specialised goalkeeper training from State League goalkeeper Ranjeet Sekhon.

Sessions will take place fortnightly on Thursday evenings at McGillivray Oval (UWA Sports Park), starting this Thursday the 12th of May at 5pm.

Goalkeepers aged 12-16 are asked to attend these specialised goalkeeper sessions instead of their regular team training, to make full use of the services offered by UWANFC.

Sekhon encourages all junior keepers to attend the sessions believing quality training with other goalkeepers to be pivotal in development. "This goalkeeper training involves more focused goalkeeper drills and positional play that they might not get in their normal team training. Training will also cover proper warm up routines for match days, as well as correct technique for distribution and catching."

"Kids should come down because its fun, they can learn, improve their technique and also learn from other goalkeepers within the club."

The sessions will primarily be taken by Ranjeet Sekhon; however, in his brief absence in late May and early June, State League keeper Alexander Preece will cover the sessions.
