The time has finally arrived - season 2017 of the All Flags State League finally kicks off this Saturday.
Michael Janssen's youthful side take on a resurgent Dianella White Eagles side who narrowly avoided relegation last year.
The head coach is simply champing at the bit to get the campaign underway, and what better place to do so than at 'The Mac'.
"The whole club is excited and you can feel this energy over the last fortnight or so," he said.
"The first game is always special, but we need to focus and transfer our excitement into positive energy now for our first performance of the season."
Despite Dianella's lowly finish last year, Janssen is more than wary of the threat they now pose after some strong signing in the off-season.
"They had a tough season last year but they recovered quickly and did their homework to be prepared for 2017," the German explained.
"They play an aggressive style and look quickly to get the ball in the final third," he added.
Janssen is full of confidence in his side and insists the hunger and desire of the team is prevalent throughout the entire squad.
"Regardless what match we play, we always want to win,
"Launching the season with a win would give us even more confidence and encourage us to follow the way we progress as a unit,
"We can't wait to showcase our style and get as many people from the club week after to week to show our growth as a football club in WA," Janssen added.
Kick-off times for the senior teams are as follows:
