The boys in green will be looking to kick-start their season against Joondalup City at Iluka Sporting Complex this Saturday.
Michael Janssen's troops have suffered back-to-back losses, both narrow 3-2 results to Gosnells and Rockingham and the head coach outlined a lack of concentration as a key factor in each defeat.
"It's a bit frustrating when we have great periods in a match and perform to a high level but we are not rewarding our effort,
"We need to stay focused for 90 minutes," he explained.
Despite the mid-season setbacks, Janssen remains confident in the development of the squad.
"Our young team has an average of 23 years old and each obstacle or stagnation we face is all part of the process,
"We need to deal with this to become better and work to achieve our final target," the coach added.
With the side travelling to Joondalup this week to face promoted side City, it presents another opportunity for Uni to bounce back and get amongst the top 4.
"Joondalup are doing well and have settled well in Div 1," Janssen said.
"We seem to always be facing clubs coming off a bye, so we have to expect them to be at full strength, but regardless we need perform at our best to ensure we bring three points home to The Mac," he added.
The past few weeks have proved a difficult period in the injury department, with Andrex Xydas (hamstring), Marco Warmt-Murray (knee), veteran Robbie Black (calf) all joining Alex Kretowicz on the injury list.
Janssen insists this opens up great opportunities for squad players to prove themselves in the starting eleven.
"We have to make some changes to the line-up, but each player added to the team is here because they deserve it," the German explained.
In other news, Marc Zagami has left the club and we'd like to wish the midfielder all the best for the future.
