This Saturday at The Mac will see the boys in green host their bitter local rivals, Western Knights in Round 8.
When the fixture list is announced, this is the game all UWA players highlight - the Western Suburbs Derby.
It's been a while between drinks for UWA taking bragging rights away from the Mosman Park-based side, but following the resounding away win over Mandurah last week, there is a renewed sense of belief in the camp according to midfielder Tim Robertson.
"The win against Mandurah was huge, not only because of the result but because of the way we won, it was very important for the morale," he said.
"The derby against Knights is always a special occasion. I'm expecting a high intensity, physical game that we need to rise to if we're wanting to take all three points."
Both sides are fresh off three-goal wins, with Knights taking the chocolates in a roller-coaster match against South West Phoenix in a 6-3 result that saw the Bunbury side reduced to just 8-men with three red cards shown.
Michael Janssen's troops will be looking to build on their recent form as they attempt to claim back-to-back wins for the first time this season following a slow start to their campaign.
"We need to build on the momentum we created last week and instil that confidence back into the boys. Once we get on a winning streak we're going to be extremely hard to beat, but we can't get ahead of ourselves after one result, this is a massive game."
The visitors are enjoying a bright start to the 2018 season sitting third on 12 points, while UWA climbed up to 9th following their Round 7 win.
Anything can happen on Derby Day and it's sure to be another absolute cracker down at the Mac when the clock strikes 3PM tomorrow.
