Uni hit the road this week for the first time in four games when they take on Joondalup City in Round 13.

The boys will be hopeful of bringing home three points to The Mac following last weekend's dramatic draw with Fremantle City.

Fremantle's last-minute equaliser was hard to take for the group, but it does see our record go to one loss from our past six matches.

UWA will take confidence from their recent record against City, having won their previous three encounters, including a come from behind 3-1 win in Round 2.

However, Joondalup are enjoying some improved form at the moment and currently sit bottom of the league table, but with a new manager at the helm, they are sure to be up for the fight as they look to secure survival after earning promotion in 2016, as skipper Josh Marocchi noted.

"It's another vital game for us, we really need to take advantage of our good performances and get a win on the road this weekend," he said.

"Saying that, I know City will be desperate for points and we'll be facing very hungry side in Joondalup."

In team news, the firsts will be without Alex Kretowicz, Lloyd Prout, Tristan Taylor, Harry Hosking and Max Welton, who are all overseas, while Mark Trevisiol remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
