UWANFC Masters and Golden Oldies
Are you over 35 or 45 and looking to play football? UWANFC has three teams in the Masters category for those looking to play at a competitive level or socially.
UWANFC has three teams within the Masters category.
UWA Nedlands FC has teams in Metro and Masters Divisions at all levels. Training is on a Wednesday evening at UWA Sports Park from 6pm, anyone over 35 is welcome to come join.
The UWA Nedlands Masters was formed through misadventure in 2007 with an inaugural Nedlands FC team, and has now expanded its girth to spawn 3 masters teams. We comprise some 60 odd mature footballing gentlemen from ages 35 to 60, who play in the Football West North Division 1, North Division 3 and Golden Oldies leagues of Western Australia.
Our playing ethos is based on playing organised competitive football but within a socially civilised code of conduct.
We start our pre-season training every February ahead of the April to September league playing season, and we also have informal matches in the off season.
Our playing camaraderie is also reinforced by our various social events during the year, including our annual April participation in a masters tournament in Hong Kong, and June see some players embark on our Brazilian World Cup adventure.’
UWANFC also encourages a strong social environment within the player group. Check out what the Masters have been up to here.
