UWANFC had five representatives in the semi finals of the Top 4 Cup and every single one of them did the club proud. Special mention goes out to the two UWANFC sides who made it into the grand final for their respective divisions.

Boys 12's North Division 2
Won 6-1 vs. Quinns FC
Our 12A side kept their undefeated season on track with a convincing victory. Mark Harris' boys went behind early but rallied to outplay their opponents and go into the final with ease.

Boys 13's North Division 4
Won 1-0 vs. Hamersley Rovers JFC
Our 13C side embraced the underdog tag as they defeated the minor premiers 1-0. Pred Zdravkovic's boys barely snuck into the finals, but they've been on the improve all season and are playing their best football yet.

Boys 15's North Division 3
Drew 1-1 vs. Maccabi SC - Lost on penalties
Roscoe Thanner and his 15 boys were unfortunate not to outmuscle a sturdy Maccabi side. Roscoe's boys went behind early but enjoyed the majority of the possession and were able to strike late to send the game into extra time and consequently penalties. Unfortunately Maccabi struck true in the shootout.

Girls 14's Division 1
Lost 2-0 vs. Quinns FC
Chris Mallios' girls played the defended champions and put in a stellar effort as they were undone by a couple breakaway goals throughout the game. A bit more cutting edge in the final third would've seen the girls win comfortably but their play style and determination all season cannot be faulted.

Girls 17's Division 2
Lost 3-0 vs. Hamersley Rovers JFC
Matthew Stewart's 17 girls put in a tremendous effort against the minor premiers. The scorline did not reflect how tight of a game this was as the girls did UWANFC proud competing until the last minute, a tremendous effort from the 17 girls all season long, of whom most are fairly new to the game.

A massive congratulations to all UWANFC junior sides in their semi final efforts, and good luck to the 12 and 13 boys sides competiting in their grand finals next weekend.
