Junior Under 13 to Under 16
Building a well-rounded player with character, drive and teamwork.
Coaching of the young players is a key part of the Club’s philosophy. We believe that players of all abilities should have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.
We want the training to be productive and skills based, but most of all enjoyable for the players and conducted in a supportive environment. We aim to provide a dedicated qualified non-parent coach for all of our junior teams.
Players participate in various divisions of the Football West competition. Games are on Sunday mornings, with training and home games are play at Mount Claremont Oval and UWA Sports Park.
Football West organises teams from all clubs into different divisions according to playing strength. For this reason, players are assessed by our qualified coaches at the pre-season training sessions and placed into appropriate teams.
UWANFC offers both Junior Academy (‘A’ stream Junior Development League teams), Junior ‘B’ stream (higher North Division teams), and Junior ‘C’ stream teams (lower North Divisions), depending on player numbers.
Junior Academy Teams
We identify the players who take football more seriously and wish to lift their level of play to a standard where they can compete at the highest levels in Perth. These teams will play in Football West’s Junior Development League, and compete in the Youth Club Championships (pending successful club entry).
In 2025 the UWANFC Academy will offer teams in the following age groups
Under 13 Boys (Born 2012)
Under 14 Boys (Born 2011)
