2022 COVID Policy

Dear UWANFC Members & Coaches,

While the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to create uncertainty, the UWANFC committee continues to be guided by the key principles of prioritising the safety and well-being all members (players, their parents, coaches & volunteers), considering, and applying directives from WA Government, the University of Western Australia and relevant health authorities, and recognising the significant positive benefits of activity and community football.

While it is likely that further changes will occur, the following measures have been agreed on by UWANFC for the foreseeable future to prioritise safety of all members and allow regular activities to continue.

• Requirements to social distance or meet density limits at venues and fixtures as communicated from time to time;

• Adjustments to fixtures, events and programs. This may include postponing, rescheduling, or cancelling training or matches and the Management Committee will continue to monitor the situation and reassess settings as required;

• Entry to the Clubhouse at UWA Sports park will only be permitted to members and visitors that are fully vaccinated as per University of Western Australia guidelines, which are in addition to State Government health directions;

• Anyone entering the Clubhouse must be prepared at all times to present their acceptable proof of Covid-19 vaccination or acceptable proof of a medical exemption if requested, and check-in using the SafeWA or ServiceWA apps, or manually;

• At this stage, only mask and check-in requirements are in place for our other facilities (Mount Claremont Oval, Charles Court Reserve and College Park).

• Anyone entering the Clubhouse or Changerooms must be prepared at all times to wear their masks at all times other than when seated to eat or drink, in accordance with Government guidelines.

• All players MUST report to their coach and have their attendance recorded at each training session and match.

• The Process outlined below must be followed by Coaches & Managers for all club activities and as directed from time to time.

Thank you for your co-operation and we look forward to seeing you around the sports grounds soon.
